Under the ongoing teacher's development initiatives, CINED has organized teachers training on "Advanced Pedagogy" from 19-23 September 2017. This training was organized in collaboration with the Michigan State University (MSU), USA. Teachers of secondary and higher secondary level (English and Bengali medium school), trainers from government and private teachers training institutions attended in the training. Dr. Samantha Caughlan, renowned educationist and teacher trainer conducted the training.

After the training course Dhaka Ahsania Mission and Michigan State University jointly issued certificate to the participants. A face book group has been created as a forum for teacher's development. This forum is open for all career-minded individuals to share and learn from each other as part of professional development aiming to raise student's achievement.

CINED is implementing a programme to improve reading skills of early grade students in Bangladesh. Under this programme capacity of government school teachers, PTI instructors and other primary education stakeholders were developed for preparing decodable and leveled e-books using 'BLOOM" book writing software. Four writers workshop has been organized in different parts of the country and 200 decodable and leveled e-books were developed for grade I and II. These e-books will help to increase availability of e-books/digital contents for early grade students and help overcome their reading difficulties. This programme is being implemented in cooperation with USAID, World Vision, Australian Aid, All Children reading and Global reading network.
