Project Name:Joyful Journey of Out of School Children & Youth for Quality Learning (JOYFUL)
No Cost Extension

Project Introduction:

The JOYFUL project is designed keeping in view of socio-economic and geo-physical nature, need and vulnerability of Haor areas of Kishoreganj. Multi-grade teaching learning approach has been proposed to implement in learning centers. Due to difficult geophysical and communication system, haor areas are relatively deprived of schools with quality teachers, effective teaching learning methods and favourable environment. Consequently, the large numbers of children remain out of access to the education system. Besides, natural catastrophes like flash flood, torrential rain add extra vulnerability to the area. The project will provide basic education for out of school children & youth through CLCs& CRCs where DAM will adopt the multi-grade teaching-learning approach.Previously adopted and designed guideline and tools by DAM for Primary and Junior Secondary Certificate (JSC) Education for children and youthswill be used in the project.CRC learning centers will also integrate Leadership Development Course, Sports and Cultural activities for Youths. It will also advocate for children’s right for education.Integration of sports, ICT-centric approach and cultural elements in education under this project will facilitate required socialization and leadership qualities of children and youth-contributing to ROTA strategic theme as suggested.
