Project Name: “Bangladesh Ramadan Food Programme- 2023”.
1. Project Introduction: Bangladesh is always on the edge of food insecurity due to number of intertwined factors. Still a large number of people remain unable to access food in the quantity, diversity and regularity required for a food secure life. Ramadan Food Program provide families in need with a month’s worth of nutritious food items. These items include staples such as rice, oil, lentils, onion, and salt as well as essential iftar item like Dates, Puffed Rice, Gram. Access to these basic food items is crucial for ensuring that individuals and families can meet their nutritional needs and lead healthy and productive Lives. By providing one month’s of food, the project objective to alleviate the burden of daily meal preparation for those facing financial hardship or other challenges. This support can make a significant difference in the Lives of families struggling to make ends meet, helping to ensure that they have the resources they need to thrive.

3. Overall Objective: Disadvantaged and vulnerable people in selected districts of Bangladesh enjoyed healthy food during the month of Ramadan and Eid day<
4. Specific Objectives: Increased access to food for 700 people during the month of Ramadan
5. Project Output:
- Output 1: Food Package equivalent to 36 kg food items provided to 200 Households during the month of Ramadan to meet their food requirements for one month in Satkhira and Patuakhali
- Output 2: Food voucher equivalent to BDT 3000 provided to 100 Households during the month of Ramadan to meet their food requirements for one month in Mirpur
- Output 3: 400 street children received iftar in Mothjhil & Mohammadpur

Beneficiary selection criteria: Mandatory Criteria:
- Extreme Poor family having no regular income (av. monthly income less that BDT5,000);
Inclusion criteria:
- Migrated/displaced HH due to disaster (flood, cyclone, river erosion, fire);
- Female and child headed household;
- HH having person with disabilities/elderly/chronically sick;
- HH having widow, divorced, pregnant women;
- HH lost wellbeing and assets in disaster;
- HH having Bangladeshi citizenship with valid National ID card/birth registration card
