Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) sponsored Eid Gift & Cloth to Street and working children of DAM

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) has arranged Eid gift distribution programme to 200 street and working children of Drop-in Centre (DiC) beneficiaries on July 29, 2020. The programme was held at 33 no Ward Counselor office of DNCC, Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) sponsored and eagerly adorn the Eid gift to the disadvantage enlisted children of Dhaka Ahsania Mission. The Eid gift packages include one school bag, Panjabi, a pair of pants, a pair of shoes, one cape and one musk for each boy children and one school bag, a frock, a pair of pants, a pair of shoes, one hijab and one musk for each girl children. The kids were ecstatic to get the new dresses and others elements in their hands.

The programme started with a welcoming speech delivered by Mr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Head of Education and TVET Sector, DAM who expressed his deep gratitude to TIKA and eagerly desired friendly collaborations work with TIKA. Mr.Mustofa Osman Turan, honorable Turkish Ambassador, Dr.Ismail Gundogdu, Coordinator TIKA, 33 no Ward Counselor  of DNCC  Mr. Asif  Ahmed, Mr. Abul Hossain, Pesidents of CMC, DiC, Project Coordinator Sk. Mahabbat Hossen and other senior staff of Dhaka Ahsania Mission were present during the Eid gift distribution programme. The programme was presided over Dr. S M Khalilur Rahman, General Secretary of DAM who briefly described the DAM’s distinguishes humanitarian work in Bangladesh since last century. He also said “Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) as a charity organization always playing its vital role for serving disadvantaged personnel through Education, Health, Wash & Sanitation and livelihood sectors. DiC provide street children educations facilities, vocational training, even night shelter for most vulnerable street girl children”.

The Eid gift distribution was inaugurated by Honorable Ambassador of Turkey, Mr. Mustofa Osman Turanand expressed his feeling as “As a Muslim country we have maintain a good relation with Bangladesh, and as a symbol of this brotherhood we are here to distribute these packages as a gift from turkey people. You (the children) are looking so beautiful in new dresses. When you will grow up you would remember this brotherhood. Now corona pandemic created panic among us you should wear Musk to keep us stay safe.”

The Turkey Coordinator Dr. Ismail Gundogdu told in the programme, “A smiley-faced child is a blessing gift of society. We have brought this happiness from the Turkish children and will return this happiness to the turkey children again.

The blessing children expressed their feeling though smile on their faces, they laughed like golden lights in the corners of their eyes. There is nothing more expensive than a smile on kid’s face.
