Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal handed over to Dr. Mohammad Farashuddin

Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal 2013 has been handed over to Dr. Mohammad Farashuddin in recognition to his outstanding contribution in the field of education and macro economic development of the country. The medal has been handed over through a formal ceremony at Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST) on 13 September 2014.

The chief guest of the program Chief Justice Md. Mozzamel Hossain conferred the medal to Dr. Mohammad Farashuddin. The award includes a crest, a cheque for 1 lac taka, a certificate and a set of publications.

President of Dhaka Ahsanai Mission (DAM) Kazi Rafiqul Alam presided over the program while former NBR chairman and former secretary Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mazid and Vice-chancellor of Jaggannath University Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman took part in the discussion. AUST treasurer Kazi Shariful Alam presented the life sketch the awardee. Prof of Folklore department of Rajshahi University Dr. Saifuddin Chowdhury presented the key-note paper. DAM Executive Director Dr M. Ehsanur Rahman deliver the welcome address.

Since 1986, DAM has been awarding the medal after noted educationist, social reformer, practitioner of Sufism, former Assistant Director of the Department of Public Instruction and founder of DAM, Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (R). So far, the medal has been awarded to 22 noted personalities for their outstanding contributions in different fields at the national level.
