Education Fair 2017, organized by DAM Education Projects

EAST UCLC project organized Annual Education Fair with joint collaboration of EAST ALOKON, EduEmp,UNIQUE-II and DIC project of DAM Education Sector. The fair was held on 17 February 2017 at Mirpur in Alhajj Abbas Uddin high school premises and chaired by DAM’s Education Sector Team Leader Md. Shahidul Islam. Mr. Indu Vusan Dev, Deputy Director of primary education of Dhaka Division was present as chief guest. Mr. Md. Abu Sayed Mia Head master of Alhajj Abbas Uddin High School , Mr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Team Leader, Team Leader Climate Change & DRR Sector, DAM and Mr. Prosanto David Shadukha, Project Coordinator of EAST UCLC project were also presented as a special guest.

As a chief guest, Mr. Indu Vusan Dev told that Bangladesh Government is committed to provide the quality education for all. The contribution of Dhaka Ahsania Mission in Non-Formal Education for disadvantaged students is remarkable. We expected that DAM education program will keep this remarkable activities in the long run. On the other hand, Md. Shahidul Islam, Team Leader of DAM Education Sector highlighted different educational activities for underprivileged children in NFE. He told DAM is providing primary & Junior Secondary education and Vocational & Life Skill training for the working & disadvantage children in Mirpur & Mohammadpur area of Dhaka city through EAST UCLC, EAST-ALOKON, Edu-Emp, UNIQUE-II & DIC project.

On the other hand, Early Childhood Development, Non-formal Primary Education, Non-formal Junior Secondary Education, Literacy and Continuing Education, Drop in Center, Technical & Vocational Education, Disaster Risk Reduction programs, Ahsania Mission School and college, Agricultural Extension Support Activity have been displayed in the fair. In the second phase of the fair, the distinguished guests visited the fair booth. A sports competition was also held with the participation of students.

In the day long program of Education Fair, all most 1400 learners participate in the Fair, sports and cultural competition from 36 Community managed CLCs, 8 UCLCs and 2 Drop in Centers. The Education Fair came to the end with a Cultural events and prize-giving ceremony.
