DAM organized a two days’ workshop on OER Policy Development for Dhaka Ahsania Mission

Open Educational Resources (OER) concept has brought a revolution in the world. It is free and openly licensed educational materials that can be used for teaching, learning, research, and many other purposes.

Now a day’s to having access to wide variety of affordable quality teaching-learning material is very significant for desirable learning outcomes. To improve the quality of education retaining, reuse, revise, remix and redistribute educational resources are very essential and being practiced throughout the world.

Considering this growing necessity and demand, DAM has developed an Open Educational Resource (OER) Policy for its educational and development institutions. Under this OER policy a framework for DAM OER repository has also developed for creation of OER and better management and sharing of its huge educational resources developed during last six decades of its journey.

In cooperation with Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Centre for International Education and Development (CINED) of DAM has organized a two days workshop on development of OER policy for DAM with the involvement of selected heads, senior level managers and technical persons from DAM institutions and programmes from 16 – 17 June 2019 at the auditorium of Dhaka Ahsania Mission head office.

Professor Mostafa Azad Kamal, Dean of School of Business Faculty of BOU and Mr. Shahnewaz Khan, CEO, CINED have facilitated the workshop. Dr. SM Khalilur Rahman, General Secretary and Dr. M Ehsanur Rahman, Executive Director of Dhaka Ahsania Mission were present at the workshop. Participants of the workshop also prepared a way forward plan.
