Alongside food security, to continue strive in disaster risk at community level, ‘Improved Food and Livelihood Security in Bagerhat District, Bangladesh, in the context of increased disaster risk and climate change (IFLS)’ project of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) prepared the disaster risk profiles of eight Unions ( Chandpai and Chila Union of Mongla Upazilla, Rampal, Perikhali and Banstoli Union of Rampal Upazilla and Rayenda, Dhansagor & Southkhali Union of Shoronkhola Upazilla) under Bagerhat district.
DAM has handed over the profiles to Comprehensive Disaster Management Program (CDMP) and exchanged view in this regards on 26 February 2014 at CDMP auditorium to entangle with different government and non-government organizations. Director General of Disaster Management Bureau Md. Abdul Wazed was present as chief guest while National Project Director of CDMP-2 Md Abdul Quayyum presided over the program. Environment and Climate Change Director of DAM Dr Khawja Shamsul Huda and Programme Coordinator of CAFOD, UK, Umme Kulsum were present as guests. DAM Assistant Director & Team Leader, Disaster Management Unit (DMU) Jahangir Alam shared CRA profile in the program and Team Leader of Livelihood Programs Mukhlesur Rahman delivered the welcome address. Chanpai Union Parisad Chairman Mollah Tariqul Islam and UDMC Member & project beneficiaries were also present on the occasion.

Its is mentionable that with the financial assistance of CAFOD-UK, DAM has been implementing IFLS project in Mongla, Sharonkhola and Rampal Upazilla under Bagerhat district.
